L.Fauna is not CHAI. I’ve spent the past three months working on this skin to make it more universally friendly. Come give us a try, you just might like it!
Goodbye CHAI hello L.Fauna! But don’t worry if you are a CHAI fan! From the tp point you can teleport to the main CHAI store!
I would also like to thank everyone who has shown me support through this change. Your blog posts, kind words of encouragement, and general enthusiasm means the world to me. Here’s to you!
I just want to say congrats and job well done. The skins and shop look fantastic. I’d say best of luck with the new brand but I know you don’t need it.

Hello Launa. Hope you are doing good. I have a slight concern. As u must seen above the approx age of your each skin line on SL:
The Chai Skin started off great, lasted long, retired at the right time, and everyone enjoyed them.
Then everyone was excited about the new double shot skin. It got released and retired on its 9th month! Ervyone was hopeing for it to last longer than 9 months. People invest a lot when buying gud skins and they expect a skin line to last more than a year or two, with new makeups being released all along the way and having occasional sales and discounts. When a skins retires too soon or better one arrives before time, the consumer feels cheated. Consumer feels that now our skins, which we just purchased few months back is outdated and valuesless, as the newer skin line has arrived at the store. I strongly feel consumers were cheated with the too soon retirement of double shot skin line! I have a few double shot skins in my inventory, but i just dont feel like wearing them anymore, cause of the releasement of the new NOVA skin line, which is more enhanced and better than double shot. And now, just after 4 months after the release of NOVA, we see that you have launched a new BRAND all together L.Fauna – Lapine, which is indeed confusing and concerning for some consumers. Now I personally feel scared to buy a NOVA skin, as i feel you will discountinue that too very soon.
Launa, your work is indeed great. All i wanna convey is that… yes, skin enhancement and advancement is good, but not at such a fast pace. We would like you to follow the pattern that you followed with the original chai skin line. It lived glorious 21 months on SL and everyone proudly wore the skin and remmbrs it till today
((Launa, above is my personal experience and opinion, you can check with others also what they feel. Many might differ too. Everyone has a right to their own opioin))
Skins are great… but what about a hair base? Please include a hair base skin. Pleaseeeee! Thank you.
The original chai line was released in 2007. At that point I could count the number of skin creators on my fingers and toes. Second Life is a much larger and fast paced place now.
The Double-Shot and Nova lines were not received as positively as the original chai skins. Because of this I felt compelled to continue to improve my skills in the hopes of reaching the bar I set in 2007. It’s much like a music group’s first album.
It is imperative that I continue to grow with Second Life in order to remain relevant. Second Life is my only source of revenue and I literally cannot afford to fall to the wayside. Nor can I sit on products that I don’t feel are up to modern standards or up to my own.
I hope this helps illustrate my position and help give you an idea of what being a skin maker is like in SL.
